Seasonal sniffles, certain foods, a pet you love — when your body keeps overreacting to the same things, it wears on daily life. Allergy clearing at Abundant Life Wellness Center takes a gentle, systematic approach to helping with that sensitivity response. The type of allergy clearing technique we use at Abundant Life Wellness Center is called SET-DB created by Dr. Teryl Boothe. SET-DB is a protocol that helps with a sensitivity response. This means when we utilize SET-DB on a client, they should no longer react to what they were having an issue with. Dr. Devi Nambudripad, who created the NAET protocol, called this approach Allergy Elimination Therapy. Using the Zyto biofeedback software, we can determine what items in a specific category are stressing a person’s body. The total time of each allergy clearing session is 15 minutes. Also, multiple sessions can be done in one day with a two-hour gap between sessions.
Where it comes from
There are two pioneers in AET: Dr. Devi Nambudripad and Dr. Ellen Cutler.
The fact that allergies could even be cleared was discovered by Dr. Devi Nambudripad, serendipitously, while she studied acupuncture. She refined the process over the years and began teaching it to other practitioners, calling it Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET).
Dr. Ellen Cutler ran a busy NAET practice north of San Francisco, in Marin County. Shortly after she had a positive experience with enzyme therapy, she developed her own technique: BioSET. She changed the allergy clearings a little, added enzyme therapy and homeopathic detoxification, and improved on Dr. Nambudripad’s overall approach for clearing allergies. Dr. Cutler has since changed her protocol significantly, with a strong emphasis on enzyme therapy and supplements.

The honest question
Yes, at least the way SET-DB™ practitioners perform the protocol. Dr. Boothe believes his protocol works every time, with very few exceptions. He knows that NAET and the BioSET can work, but their treatments often have to be repeated in the office or at home by the patient with long avoidance times for what was being treated. While there is an avoidance period with the SET-DB protocol, four hours is not excessive.
There have been other allergy clearing protocols over the years that purported to help with a sensitivity response, but they’ve seemed to have fallen by the wayside.
There is a methodical approach to which categories need to be scanned first in order to have the best outcome. Once the stressors are identified for the client, the client does breathing exercises while we stimulate the central nervous system. After sitting quietly for 15 minutes, the session is complete. It is that fast. This protocol has been successful for Dr. Boothe for over 15 years.

The cost is $45 per category. Each person will need a different number of sessions based upon their individual sensitivities. We offer discounts for those who will need several sessions.
