As with all of our offerings at ALWC, we have the intention of supporting the client as a whole which means we must address all aspects of living a healthy, balanced life. The following are the biggest attributes that may be addressed as we work towards finding that true balance for you.
Bio-individuality is the cornerstone to the way I work with people because no two people are alike, no one way of making recommendations for a condition or ailment works for everyone and no one diet is going to serve everyone in the same way. So getting to know you and all of the things that make you who you are is imperative in my being able to help you on your wellness journey. Some of the things I will want to address as I am getting to know you are: your family history, your medical history, any prescription medications and supplements currently being taken, symptoms that have been presenting recently, diet, how you feel about the foods you eat, and cravings you have. Together, we will also want to address lifestyle which includes family life, career, spirituality, sleep and exercise/movement.
As we begin to develop a picture of your overall health and diet, we can start to build a plan to help you take the steps needed to help you reach your goals. After your initial consultation, follow-up consultations may be recommended to review things such as food logs, dietary progress and to reassess where you feel you are in that process. If any tests were recommended we will go over those results and determine potential recommendation plans as well as make any changes to existing nutritional guidelines. A recommendation plan can include herbal and/or homeopathic remedies or other types of supplementation such as vitamins, minerals or probiotics to support your specific situation.
