Abundant Life Wellness center
Abundant Life Wellness Center was founded by Jennifer Trejo. Jennifer became interested in natural health and a more holistic way of life after her father died unexpectedly from a heart attack at the age of 59. Out of a determination to learn how to improve her own health and finding a passion to help others do the same, Jennifer left her career in international human resources and completed her Doctorate in Naturopathy.
Jennifer was trained by Dr. Kharrazian in Blood Chemistry Analysis from a functional/preventative perspective as well as in complex autoimmune conditions. Jennifer also continues her training through the Institute of Functional Medicine which was founded in 1991 by Dr. Jeffrey Bland, the founder of the functional medicine discipline. In response to a need she has seen rising over the last few years, she is additionally training under Dr. Ben Lynch on MTHFR and other genetic mutations that impact mythelation and detoxification function in the body. Dr. Lynch founded www.mthfr.net and is the leading researcher in this area that impacts over 45% of the U.S. population (many of whom are unaware).
Jennifer has also earned her Bachelors degree in Business from Dallas Baptist University and her Master in Business Administration from the University of Dallas. In addition, Jennifer has trained under Dr. Datis Kharrazian who is considered one of the leading experts in non-pharmaceutical applications to chronic illnesses, autoimmune disorders, and complex neurological disorders.
Jennifer’s education and training as well as the use of the most advanced technologies and professional-grade supplements, allow her clients to receive natural, quality health services. Knowing that there is often better and safer alternatives to pharmaceutical or over-the-counter drugs and surgery, Jennifer is excited to help educate her clients how to live healthier and more holistic lifestyles. She knows this allows bodies to do what God created them to do best, heal naturally in a healthy environment.
Jennifer lives in Fort Worth with her husband Thomas, daughter Lauren and son Matthew. She enjoys her family’s active schedule, spending time with friends, reading, and being involved with her church.
Maribel was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and now calls Texas home. After constantly being sick and being on several bouts of antibiotics, it wasn’t until her early 20’s that she realized that there must be another way. After graduating with her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from the Illinois Institute of Art and being in sales for 6 years, she completed her certification as a Nutrition Consultant. In 2008, Maribel opened a wellness center in Michigan, but with the downturn of the economy and much prayer, in 2010 she moved to Texas.
It wasn’t until Maribel started working at ALWC, that she learned she had an autoimmune condition. This drove her desire to learn about physiology and natural healing. Soon after, she decided to pursue her Naturopath degree through the Trinity School of Natural Health.
While pursuing her degree, she became the Neurofeedback Specialist at ALWC and has trained in Educational Kinesiology. In 2015, Maribel became a Certified Natural Health Professional and completed her Doctor of Naturopathy degree.
Throughout her career at ALWC, she has been mentored and trained by Jennifer Trejo. She has trained under Dr. Datis Kharrazian, a leading educator in functional medicine and nutrition. She completed his courses in Brain Chemistry, Thyroid, and Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis. In addition, she has been trained in an allergy elimination technique, the Sensitivity Elimination Treatment by Dr. Teryl Boothe. She is pursuing her continuing education under Dr. Kharrazian and Dr. Ben Lynch, the leading expert on methylation and nutrigenomics.
Maribel enjoys the outdoors, working out, learning, spending time with her family, and checking off her “bucket list.” Her passion comes from personal experience. She knows that once we start feeling better, we can focus on the Lord and His plan for our lives.
She’s back!! Wendi was our Office Manager from 2010-2013, and after becoming a Flight
Attendant has returned as our Office Manager. Wendi was raised by Christian parents who turned to health and nutrition when she was born, in hopes of less visits to the doctor’s office. She has passed on their knowledge and passion for healthy living to her three grown children, one of whom is our Nutritionist, Kati. Wendi has worked in customer service for 36 years. Her love for Christ, of helping people, nutrition, and sharing alternative healing options makes her feel like this is more of being at home than a job.
When she’s not traveling for work and pleasure, Wendi loves making memories with her
children and new granddaughter. She also enjoys being with her friends, photography,
scrapbooking, playing board games, her Boston terriers, and all things pumpkins & Christmas!
