Thermography in Fort Worth, Texas

One scan to see how your body is functioning

Concerns about breast health, unexplained inflammation, or a nagging tooth all lead to the same starting question: what is actually going on inside? At Abundant Life Wellness Center in Fort Worth, thermography answers it with one scan — running from the bottom of your hips to the top of your head, so breast health and the dental region are covered inside it rather than booked separately. While imaging tests like MRI and ultrasounds focus on anatomy, Whole Body Thermography offers a functional evaluation of organs and systems. Full Body Thermography utilizes infrared technology to deliver a comprehensive assessment of organ, gland, and lymphatic health. The process involves using an infrared sensor to measure skin temperature at 90-120 points across the body, both before and after exposure to a cooler environment. These responses, regulated by the Autonomic Nervous System, provide insights into the health of underlying organs. Full Body Thermography is an innovative screening tool capable of detecting more than 40 disease patterns early, highlighting potential risks before they become more serious.

A Functional Approach to Health

Full Body Thermography is an innovative screening tool capable of detecting more than 40 disease patterns early, highlighting potential risks before they become more serious. It tracks how your Autonomic Nervous System and blood flow respond to stimuli, identifying areas of congestion, cyst formation, or poor circulation. This functional perspective allows your practitioner to design a customized plan and track your progress over time. That matters most before anything feels wrong. Subclinical symptoms often go unnoticed until they escalate. Full Body Thermography helps reveal the underlying causes of your symptoms. Disease and symptoms are not purely physical; they often stem from blocked regulation within the body. Healthy tissue is able to self-regulate—detoxifying, oxygenating, and maintaining proper nutrient balance and immunity. By evaluating the body’s regulatory capacity and examining organs, glands, and tissues, we can better understand overall tissue health. Key considerations include:

  • How many barriers exist to oxygen and nutrient delivery?
  • Is toxic buildup causing blood and lymphatic congestion?
  • How effectively are immune cells reaching and protecting tissues?
  • Are dental health issues affecting meridians?
  • How do regulation patterns impact the health of the breasts and prostate?

The health of your organs is directly linked to the Autonomic Nervous System, which controls essential bodily functions, including digestion, heart rate, and healing. Chronic illness typically develops over time, making early detection and ongoing monitoring with Whole Body Thermography an essential step toward proactive health management.

What Full Body Thermography Can Help Assess

The test is FDA-approved for various conditions, making it a valuable adjunct tool for:

Your appointment

What Happens During Your Appointment

Practitioners often make decisions based on subjective observation, complemented by imaging tools like MRI and CT scans. This new form of thermographic technology, built on years of clinical data, has proven effective in identifying disorders such as breast disease, inflammatory conditions, and endocrine imbalances.

Reviewing thermography results on the workstation screen
  1. Before you arrive

The test is safe, comfortable, and non-invasive. To ensure accurate results, the room is kept at a controlled temperature of between 68°F and 72°F.

  2. The scan

Infrared measurements are taken from 90-120 points on the body before and after exposure to a cool room. The entire process takes about 30 minutes.

  3. Your report

The temperature readings are compared to a database of healthy individuals. This helps reveal patterns that are clearly displayed in easy-to-understand charts and reports.

  4. Your plan

This comprehensive approach helps your practitioner recommend the best therapies for you and determine if further testing is needed to confirm findings.

Breast health

Breast Health, Seen Functionally

Thermography uncovers dysfunction and underlying causes. Adding Thermography to your breast health screening provides a more comprehensive approach to prevention and restoration of wellness.

A baseline Whole Body Thermography scan is recommended for all women, regardless of age, to avoid complacency from reliance on family history or negative findings from physical exams and other imaging results.

Dental health

Where Dental Health Meets the Rest of the Body

For over 30 years, European practitioners have studied dental infections as potential contributors to disease. In an interview with Alternative Therapies journal, Dr. Thomas Rau explained how Whole Body Regulation Thermography and biological dentistry have become essential in clinical practice. When dental issues impair a patient’s regulatory function, detoxification and metabolic rebuilding can only occur after removing associated toxins. Localized infections are often linked to systemic disorders, which is crucial since the jaw is connected to both the nasal sinuses above and the lymphatic chains below. According to acupuncture theory, lymphatic and neurotransmitter pathways connect various teeth to different organs in the body. For example, integrative practitioners often check for infections in the 2nd molar in breast cancer patients, as the 2nd molar lies on the stomach meridian, which passes through breast tissue. Dental health plays a significant role in overall wellness, influencing the ability to prevent and resolve broader health issues.

Why here

Why Choose ALWC for Thermography

Our technology is widely adopted by some of the world’s leading health clinics, including The Paracelsus Klinik in Switzerland, led by Dr. Thomas Rau, and the Sophia Health Clinic, overseen by Dr. Klinghardt in Seattle, WA.

Three focuses, one technology, one roof. A breast health question can widen into the full picture — or a full body scan can flag a dental question — without starting over somewhere new.

And when a scan raises something worth acting on, the follow-up already lives here: detox, lymphatic support, nutrition, and functional lab testing.

Thermography is the clearest example of why this practice looks the way it does: it is a service almost nobody nearby offers, kept in-house because sending people elsewhere for it would break the thing that makes the rest work. Readers voted Abundant Life Best of Functional Medicine in Keller in 2024, and Best of Keller and Best of Northeast Tarrant County in 2025.

Thermography Questions People Ask

Is it one scan, or do I choose between full body, breast and dental?

It is one scan. The full body thermogram runs from the bottom of your hips to the top of your head, so breast health and the dental and jaw region are covered inside the same session and the same report — they are areas the scan looks at, not separate appointments you pick between.

Does it hurt, and is there any radiation?

No to both. Thermography reads the heat your own body gives off using an infrared sensor. Nothing touches you, nothing is compressed, and there is no radiation of any kind.

Is it covered by insurance?

While ALWC does not take health insurance, if your insurance plan has a flexible spending account or health savings account, check with your plan administrator to see if our services are covered for reimbursement.

Financing is available. CareCredit offers up to 24 months of no-interest financing on any of our services, with no minimum — you can apply directly. We also offer an interest-free four-payment plan. Full terms are on our financing page.
